Jennifer M. Nailes, MD, MSPH
Dr. Jennifer M. Nailes is a professor at the Department of Preventive and Community Medicine and currently the Vice President for Research of the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center Research Institute for Health Sciences. She obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of the Philippines in Diliman, and received her doctor in Medicine and Masters degree in Public Health from the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center. Her researches include investigations on public health, stroke, diabetes, hypertension, medical education, herbal medicine and mental health. She has just completed research on the adolescent lifestyle behaviors with WHO collaborating centers in Asia. She is currently working on a number of studies on diabetes as part of the UERM diabetes program. She is an associate editor of the UERM Journal for the Health Sciences. She is also a member of the Hypertension, Brain, Cardiovascular and Renal Outcome Prevention and Evidence in Asia (Hope Asia) Network whose aim is to improve management of hypertension and organ protection for “zero” cardiovascular event in Asia.
