Dr Thushara Matthias, works as a Senior Lecturer in Medicine at the Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka, and an Honorary Consultant Physician at the Colombo South Teaching Hospital.  Her research interest and expertise are in non-communicable diseases including dyslipidemia and hypertension. She is a contributor and an author of the Sri Lankan guidelines on dyslipidemia and hypertension for primary, secondary, and tertiary care guidelines.
